HOUSE OF BXLLOONS
My inspiration behind one of my personal favorite pieces, HOUSE OF BXLLOONS, my third tribute to Abel.
The Weeknd is my favourite artist and this is my 4th piece inspired by him. I wanted to capture the dark vibe of the original trilogy so I kept the piece monochrome except for the pops of colour in the glitch. I knew I wanted to incorporate balloons in the composition to speak to “House of Balloons”, but my earlier iterations of the design looked unbalanced due to the roundness of the object. However, using a glitch effect was inspired by the distorted and dark synth sounds in the album, and it also broke the problematic roundness of the balloons. This is one of my favorite pieces.
